new sketchbook

Still waiting for my sister to have the baby. She’s past her due date now, which isn’t a big deal, but it makes waiting that much more difficult. Just come out, baby.

Well, I finally finished my Moleskine sketchbook. Did an ink sketch of my sister. I really enjoy the ink stuff, but I’m not taking any risks with it. I’ll keep working on it.

I picked up a new sketchbook. It’s a Hand Book landscape sketchbook. I’ve never had a landscape one before, and I generally work vertical with illustrations, so I thought this would be good practice to work this way. So far I enjoy drawing in it, but I’ll have to see how it does with ink washes.
